The right nighttime underwear size for your child

Goodnites® Nighttime Underwear comes in four sizes, ranging from XS to XL. Remember, every child is different, so while it is nice to be able to ask friends and family about what worked best for them for bedwetting at a certain age, it’s truly best to go by weight and fit of the nighttime underwear.

If you have a tough time keeping your child on the scale long enough to get a weight, you can use this handy trick: step onto your bathroom scale without your child. Record your regular weight. Then, step onto it while holding your child and record the difference. That’s what your child weighs!

The right size helps prevent leaks

Using the right-sized Goodnites® Nighttime Underwear is extremely important to help prevent leaks, which can happen when your child is wearing a size that is too small or too large. And just know, sometimes leaks can happen, but the right size is a great way to prevent them. Having the right size is also important in your child’s comfort level while sleeping and for discretion under pajamas.

When to change sizes

You can use the weight and fit of the nighttime underwear to best make this decision, but here are a few signs to look for to know when your child should move to the next size:
• Your child complains about the underwear being too tight.
• Your child has moved up in size in other clothing.
• The legs are too tight and leave red marks on your child.
• There are red marks anywhere on your child that the underwear elastic touches.
• You’ve had an increase in leaks.
