We all experience skin problems every now and then, but parents of kids who wet the bed may deal with them more often. Do you have any tips on how you prevent rashes or keep your child's skin healthy?

What are some ways you try to boost your child's self-esteem?

"Our son Andrew who will be 8 this month wets the bed at night. We placed a vinyl cover over his mattress to protect it from accidents. He wears GOODNITES® Underpants every night, and we encourage him to take a shower or bath (whichever he prefers) before school each morning. Our family doctor suggested (and it works) to act as if he never wets the bed and congratulate him in the morning for any and all dry nights we see.

He has started to show signs of improvement, and we always tell him how excited we are at his success."

"It is important to tell your child that they have a purpose and a destiny. They were not born by accident but are important to you and God and to the world.

I always tell my son how smart he is, or "good job on cleaning his plate" or any other task he completed. It is important to speak positive to them and avoid negativity. Remember, how would you like to be treated?"

"My child wets the bed just about every night. He is 13 years old and eventually he will grow out of this. It is a very touchy subject for them to talk about, so just be careful how you approach the problem to your child so that they don't feel as if they are being attacked."

My son was 12 and wetting the bed about five days a week when I first wrote to you. Now he is 14, and if he has an accident two times a month that would be a lot. He's too big for GOODNITES® Underpants now but has such confidence that a wet night now and then is nothing, and as we are at the "home stretch" I am thrilled for him. He went on a trip for a week with a school group and all seven nights were dry. He was so proud of himself and it made the trip experience even better for him.

I thought I would write again, to give kudos to the GOODNITES® Brand for making such a great product which helps kids get through such a trying time in their young lives and having this wonderful Web site for parents and to update and just tell parents to keep encouraging your children and building their confidence and self-esteem. Giving them all the positive comments you can think of so they will know that they are loved unconditionally no matter what they do is such a morale booster. I also wanted to pass on kudos to all the parents who write in and who don't write in who are coping so well. I love to read the tips to see that parents are trying everything their child wants to try, giving their child encouragement all the time, not raving at their child for something that is most often a sign of a late blooming bladder and just living life normally even though there is this little glitch that will be gone or greatly diminished eventually. Good job moms and dads! Thank you GOODNITES® Underpants for being there for me this time so my child's adventure in wet nights was easier on all of us.

-Helen
