Community member Leslie's daughter, Casey, is 9 years old, the prime age for starting to sleep over at her friends' houses. Diagnosis of Diabetes Sheds Light on Bedwetting
By Valerie

I am a mother of one child. Nicole's birthday is December 16, and she just turned 5 this year. I thought she had a bladder infection, so I took her to the doctor's office on December 1. My doctor transferred Nicole to a pediatric clinic where they found that she had type 1 diabetes.

I have been very thankful that I can buy her PULL-UPs in the past. I am hoping maybe other parents see what I am saying, and maybe that's the problem they are having. We have our children get all of their shots for school, and the health department checks their blood for other health needs like lead in the blood, but not for diabetes that deals with the kidney and bladder. I have the feeling that's what I am going through right now.

Thank you for letting me express myself for children wetting the bed.
