My daughter is 9 and still wets the bed. Can I send her to sleep-a-way camp or would that be too embarrassing for her?
Answer
This is a personal decision that must take into account the frequency of enuresis (bedwetting), the importance to the child of sleep-away camp, and the consequences of failure in the setting of her peers. If she wets the bed on a nightly basis, the chances of failure and peer ridicule are high; if it's a fairly rare occurrence, or the camp is very important, camp may be the right place for her.
