I have a 9-year-old son who still wets the bed. Are there any tests that may identify a problem, and at what point should I have them done?
Answer
I would recommend evaluation by a physician at this point. There are some physical issues which may account for continued bedwetting. Bedwetting is most often due to small bladder size, and there is almost always a family history of one or the other parent having had the same problem. In general, kids grow out of it at the same age as the affected parent did.
