My teen boy is going on 14 years of age, and is still having problems wetting the bed. I am nearing the end of my rope trying to find a solution to his problem. Would using diapers and waiting it out be an option?

KrystalE answers:

Although most children who wet the bed outgrow their bedwetting by their teens, about 1 in every 100 teens will still wet the bed after the age of 15. The vast majority of teens with enuresis will naturally outgrow the condition. To help rule out any medical issues, you should schedule an appointment with her pediatrician. In the meantime, you can see if there is anything that he is eating or drinking that may trigger the bedwetting. Some food and drinks can act as triggers for bedwetting. You can also try to limit caffeine and foods or drinks with citrus. Also having him go to the bathroom frequently before bed may help
