My son sleeps so soundly that he doesn't even wake up for the alarm. Any ideas? He is 9 years old. Never had more than 2 dry nights in a row.

Christy B. answers:

Because your son is a sound sleeper, his body isn't indicating to him that his bladder is full. What you may want to try first is waking him up yourself during the night. If that doesn't help, see if a routine where limiting fluids two hours beforehand and frequent bathroom trips close to bedtime helps. Still, even with these suggestions, please be sure to schedule a visit with his doctor to rule out any medical issues. If he has already been examined, ask your doctor if he has any further advice which might help him to wet less. If nothing else, he will likely outgrow this with a little time and patience.
