My son is 14. He's been a cronic bedwetter his whole life. We've tried everything and he still doesn't wake up when his body tells him too. He's becoming more and more upset and I'm SO worried!! Please help. We don't have health insurance either.
Meagan Francis answers:
I'm Meagan Francis from the GoodNites® NiteLite Panel. I would try to get in to see a doctor for a checkup if you can. In the meanwhile, using a product like GoodNites® underwear, covering his mattress with a waterproof pad, and limiting fluids close to bedtime might help. Since stress and sleep deprivation can also make bedwetting worse, try to make bedtimes consistent and calm, and talk with your son to reassure him that you aren't angry about his bedwetting and that it happens to other kids, too. That reassurance might help him relax enough to get a good night's sleep.
