My 10 yr old is going to camp for the first time. It is a week long camp. What other things can I tell her to help her avoid embarrassment in the cabin?
What's important when a child goes to camp is to be well prepared. Bedwetting issues are usually required as part of the medical forms so please make sure you inform the camp beforehand if you haven't already done so. Some camps try to arrange for your child to be put with other children with bedwetting issues. At the very least, the camp counselors should know so that they can work with your daughter to have a less stressful time. Your daughter can pack GoodNites® Underwear in a separate enclosed bag that keeps them discreet from the other kids and arrangements could be made with the camp staff so that she can change and dispose of them privately. This will help to make this a very enjoyable camp for your daughter.
