I have an 8 year old autistic child and we were told that he may never be completely potty trained at night time. Is this possible or is there a way to potty train him at night?

Jane F. answers:

Many parents with special needs children, including those with autism, find that products such as GoodNites® Underwear make the management of their children’s bedwetting easier. In terms of your child’s autism, however, and the special challenges you face with potty training and bedwetting, you will find more focused and helpful advice at a website sponsored by one of the several Autism Associations, such as The National Autism Association (www.nationalautismassociation.org), The Autism Society (www.autism-society.org/), or the US Autism & Asperger Association (www.usautism.org/).
