I have a 6 yr old boy who will be 7 in July and he still wets himself every night but will only wear a pullup if he spends the night somewhere else. Is there anything I can do to help him? He says he doesnt feel himself peeing at night.

Approximately 5-7 million children over the age of six still wet their beds at least part of the time and will outgrow it naturally. Your pediatrician can help determine if there are medical issues that may be causing your son’s bedwetting. If there are no medical issues, there are a few things that may help in helping him stay dry at night. Limiting fluid consumption at least 2 hours before bedtime and having him go potty several time before bedtime. Sometimes certain foods or beverages, including citrus and caffeine can trigger bedwetting because of bladder irritation, or increased urine output so try limiting those and see if it helps.
