how can i stop my daughter from wetting the bed?
KrystalE answers:
Unfortunately there is no way for you to stop your child’s bedwetting. Bedwetting is a condition that must be managed and outgrown rather than stopped or cured. Children who wet the bed tend to outgrow the condition as their bladder and internal alarm systems mature. The first step, if you haven’t done so already, is to talk to your child’s pediatrician about the issue and get his or her advice. There are some things you can try are limiting fluids about two hours before bedtime and having your child go to the bathroom frequently before going to be. You may also try limiting caffeine and foods that contain citrus to see if that will reduce the wetting at night. Under the Bedwetting Education tab there are articles on research, causes and treatments, ways to support your child, and suggestions for making everyday life a little easier to manage.
