I have an 8 year old autistic child and we were told that he may never be completely potty trained at night time. Is this possible or is there a way to potty train him at night?

Christy B. answers:

Unfortunately, autistic children often have control issues such as bedwetting. The ability is stay dry or nearly dry can take much longer. So your child will need a lot of love, guidance, and patience during this period. It can be difficult to say whether your son will eventually be completely dry at night as it will depend on his individual situation. However, it can be manageable with a daily routine using GoodNites® Underwear to help keep him dry. Do continue to consult with his doctor to see if he can give you some additional information to help with the process.
