"First of all, I never scold my son for actions he can't control. I use a protective cover on his bedding (and mine also when he sneaks into my bed at night). Also, before he goes to bed, I make him go to the bathroom, and we use some sort of disposable protective underpants under his PJs. He is not ashamed because he knows that he will grow out of it and that it runs in our family. I only wish I had GoodNites® [Underpants] when I was a kid."

"My mom is a single parent. She has been very supportive with my bedwetting. I am old enough now to take care of it myself so she doesn't have to get up at night. I just deal with the wet sheets and clothes in the morning. I do wear protection but only for sleepovers or when someone is sleeping over at my house."

"First of all, don't make it a big deal. It really isn't a big deal! Regardless of what some doctors say, have your child wear diapers at night. It is way better than having wet sheets in the morning. If your child will tolerate it, use cloth diapers so he or she does feel the wetness. And try a bedwetting alarm with the absorbent protection. If you use the alarm properly and your child doesn't have an underlying metabolic or physiological problem causing the problem, it will start to work.
I have two boys age 8 and 12, and they both have had bedwetting issues. The 8-year-old has been dry for several months, but my 12-year-old is still struggling with it. I wet the bed until I was 16 years old, and my wife had bedwetting problems until she was 10."

"Being a bedwetter myself, I don't make a big deal out of my son's bedwetting. He wears GoodNites® [Underpants], and I encourage him to discuss his bedwetting with me. Some day he will grow out of it."

"The first thing you should know is that this is temporary. When my now 25-year-old son was young, he wet the bed. I would limit his fluid intake at night and take him to the toilet right before bedtime, but his doctor told me this is done because the muscles needed to control this problem are not mature yet. By the time he hit junior high he was fine, no more bedwetting."

"My son is a bedwetter every night. We've tried everything from medication to stopping fluid intake three hours before bed. Nothing has stopped him from wetting. However, the limiting of fluids does lessen the amount of wetting, which keeps him from wetting through the GoodNites® [Underpants] onto the sheets."
