What differences have you experienced between boys and girls who wet the bed?

"Well I suppose I've never really had to deal with a girl who wets the bed, but my son, Kevin, has wet the bed since age 4. He is now 8. There was about a 6-month period in between diapers and bedwetting where it was good, except for occasional accidents. I mean, after all, he was just getting out of potty training. But now it is nightly with frequent daytime accidents as well.

My tips are to stick with GoodNites. They don't prevent him from his accidents but he isn't ashamed any more. He used to cry every morning it happened and he would go to bed afraid. I took him to doctors and therapists but he was still afraid people knew. Now he doesn't need to worry about it.

I guess my other advice is just to wait it out because that's all you can do. No medication works either.
