Understanding Sleep Patterns Helps With Bedwetting
By Gara

My daughter had never been a good sleeper – up and down all night since birth. Last February at age 8, she had her tonsils out and then slowly began to sleep throughout the night.

In August of 2003, we went to the doctor for a routine physical before the school year, and I mentioned the bedwetting to him. He knew her history of not sleeping, and I told him that it was slowly getting better. He suggested that since she was so delayed in developing a sound sleep pattern that this may have an effect on bedwetting.

Well I think he was right. She is dry more often than not. Although we still use GOODNITES every night just for security and confidence, the whole situation is getting better. I believe soon that we will be able to give those up as well.

I just thought this may help others who are having the same problem. I never gave thought to the idea that not sleeping all night and bedwetting may be related.
