Milk Products and Bedwetting: Is there a Link?
By Pam

Both our allergist and pediatrician agree that there is an enzyme in milk that causes the bladder to swell and not accept any more fluids. The bladder is emptied before the child goes to bed, but then more urine is brought into the bladder while they are sleeping. The child involuntarily urinates when the bladder is full again. They both agreed that it can be hereditary and would be outgrown.

Suggestions: Stay away from milk products. It works for my child when we stick to it. Sometimes we allow him to have ice cream or some cereal with milk. Those are generally the times he wets the bed.
