My son, who is 5, uses the GoodNites® at bedtime, of course. About one year ago he told me that: "PULL-UPs are for babies, Mommy!" They made him feel like he was wearing a diaper and he was a big boy. He would fight and fight my husband and myself and refused to put them on. We ended up changing the bed WAY too often, and we had to talk to him about it. He knew he still needed something for nights, but didn't want a "diaper."
So we went to a store and checked out the "big boy" section, and HE picked up a package of GoodNites®! He turned to us and said, "These! These are for big boys!" and off we went to finish shopping. He even carried out the bag with his GoodNites® in it!
Then, about two months later, his 10-year-old sister was whispering to him from her upper bunk, "Owen, those new GoodNites® things look good on you. You know, I have a secret. I wore them, too." See, she has a rare birth defect and she takes a lot of medications. The medications she takes end up knocking her out at night, so peeing the bed was an issue for her, too.
When Owen heard she wore them, too, he started asking her questions about her wearing them. After that conversation, he hasn't had any problems talking about his GoodNites® or having an accident. So, THANK YOU GoodNites®!
