Community member Leslie's daughter, Casey, is 9 years old, the prime age for starting to sleep over at her friends' houses. Challenges of Illness: One Less Thing to Worry About
By Trish

My 7-year-old daughter, Erin, contracted e-coli from a local petting farm when she was only 3. At that time, she was fully potty trained and did not wet the bed in the night. After battling the bacteria and lingering near death for weeks, she finally recovered. Unfortunately, her kidneys did not. After more than a year on dialysis, she had a kidney transplant in January 2002.

Today Erin is doing great and enjoys the same things most other 7-year-olds enjoy. She takes many different medications and is required to drink a minimum of 48 ounces each day. That's a lot for a little girl to drink, and subsequently, she has been wetting the bed ever since.

Thank goodness for GoodNites®! They are the only thing that keep us from tears each morning. And they are the only brand that didn't irritate Erin's sensitive skin.

I don't see how we'll ever get over the bedwetting with all the fluid requirements, but for now, it's one less thing I need to worry about.
